Experienced, passionate and creative communications specialist with over 30 years of PR, communications and marketing experience within the fashion and consumer industries.
As an educator, Niamh has taught the BA (Hons) Fashion Public Relations and Communications course at the London College of Fashion for the past 10 years. Along with her teaching role, Niamh is the Sustainability Lead for the School of Media Communications, working to embed this critical topic within the curriculum and the day to day practices of the college. She has also introduced a successful peer mentoring programme.
Niamh has a PG Cert Academic Practice in Art, Design and Communication and is currently studying for her MA in this discipline, with a focus on embedding sustainability into the curriculum.

With extensive knowledge of crisis management, corporate social responsibility, the voluntary sector and business ethics, Niamh was formally the Global Steward for the Timberland European Head office, where she led sustainability and community focused projects.
Niamh is passionate about societal issues. She stood as an independent local councillor in the 2018 local elections, and has instigated many community campaigns including the refurbishment of her local park.
In 2017, she founded Proud of Pinner, an information based community platform. She is also the founder and creator of Proud of Pinner, The Journal, a locally focused magazine, featuring all that is Pinner. With informed and knowledgeable area-relevant content, paired with historical and current photography, readers are encouraged to make use of local businesses. The Journal is a quarterly publication, sold in local independent outlets, with 50% of the takings going to that trader.

Niamh has been recognised for her work within the community in recent years. She was nominated for the Mayor of London’s #hiddencredits campaign as well as being invited to attend the Royal Garden Party for her service within her local community.
